Agrecalc heading to Groundswell for the first time

For the first time, Agrecalc will be attending the Groundswell Festival in June 2024. Visit our stand in the Pasture Field - B15.

Attending the renowned event highlights the company’s commitment to supporting and advancing regenerative agriculture practices.

Under the tagline “By farmers, for farmers”, the event is entering its eighth year. Groundswell provides a forum for farmers, and anyone interested in food production or the environment, to learn about the theory and practical applications of conservation agriculture or regenerative systems, including no-till, cover crops and re-introducing livestock into the arable rotation, with a view to improving soil health.

Measurement key for Regenag

Scott Davies, Agrecalc CEO, said: “We’re excited to attend Groundswell 2024, as this event represents an excellent opportunity for us to connect with fellow industry leaders and enthusiasts who share our vision for a more sustainable future in agriculture. By leveraging technology and data insights, Agrecalc aims to drive efficiencies, reduce environmental impact, and enhance overall agricultural sustainability.

“Resource efficiency is the key to our carbon calculator, unlocking the potential of regenerative agriculture. When you optimise the resource allocation across the entire farm or within specific enterprises, you can ensure that every inch of land is working with the carbon cycle and the ecosystem, not against it.

“To improve your efficiencies and benefit from emissions reduction, measurement is key. If you don’t measure, you can’t benefit from the results, that’s why our customers use us.”

Agrecalc will be demonstrating the calculation possibilities of its state-of-the-art platform, Agrecalc Cloud, and engaging with the delegates in knowledge transfer when it comes to regenerative agriculture techniques and practices. The team is looking forward to networking, collaborating, and contributing to the collective effort towards a more resilient and regenerative agricultural landscape.

Demonstrable trail of emissions reduction

With the largest farm database in the UK, Agrecalc also enables the users to compare the progress of their regenerative enterprise, thus setting the standard for excellence in sustainable farming practices. By monitoring their farms year after year and tracking their progress, the users can also have a demonstrable trail of emissions reduction and carbon locking within the soils.

The two-day event will be featuring talks, forums and discussions from leading international soil health experts, experienced arable and livestock farmers, agricultural policy experts, direct-drill demonstrations and agri-tech innovators. In 2023, it welcomed more than 6,500 delegates.

Groundswell has a wide appeal across the food and farming spectrum, and is relevant for conventional, organic, livestock, arable, landowners or tenant farmers. In 2023, 74% of delegates are main decision makers, consisting of both smallholders and large farm estates, 71% are planting cover crops, and 38% are farming with livestock. Certified organic farmers make up 15% of the attendees.
