Our model can also be used as an educational tool for students at all levels of education for learning about major sources of agricultural GHG emissions and mitigation options. Seminars and assignments using the Agrecalc model have been introduced across undergraduate and postgraduate courses at SRUC, helping students understand farm-level data and agricultural systems modelling.

Agrecalc comes out on top among European farmers in CCC project

As research knows no borders, Agrecalc was used in Climate Care Cattle (CCC) Farming Systems. This was a European project with a number of member countries from the Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Poland and Lithuania, as well as Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) in the UK, with farms that were mainly based in Scotland and to a smaller degree in the north of England.
